Christopher Kelehan

Senior Project Manager/Estimator

Christopher Kelehan has been with the company since 2017, bringing over 20 years of experience in commercial construction. He completed five years of NCCER training and holds a Level V6 Industrial Electrician certification, along with a Louisiana State Department of Labor Electrical Apprenticeship certificate.
Christopher studied Electrical Engineering and Architecture at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette before earning his Business Management degree with a minor in Finance from the University of Arizona, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2015.
He is licensed as an electrician in Louisiana and Mississippi and has taught NCCER Electrical Classes for five years. In his role, Christopher is a problem solver focused on innovation and creativity, committed to advancing both our organization and the industry, while delivering exceptional service to clients.

Stephen Payton

Director of Operations

Stephen Payton has been a cornerstone of Dykes Electric since its inception in 1985, working alongside Jay Dykes. As a certified electrician through ABC, Stephen brings a wealth of expertise and hands-on experience to our operations. His deep understanding of the industry and commitment to excellence have been instrumental in shaping our success.
An avid outdoorsman, Stephen enjoys spending his free time hunting and watching LSU sports. His passion for teamwork and dedication to continuous improvement drives our operations forward, ensuring we consistently deliver top-notch service to our clients.

J’Mikel Dykes

Director of Buisness Development

J’Mikel Dykes is the son of Founder Jay Dykes and has been a part of the company since 1999. He started as a field hand and has worked his way up to a to running The Marketing and Service Departments. He received his degree from Southeastern University and continues to grow and contribute to the company’s success. J’Mikel has become an integral part of the business, bringing fresh ideas and innovative strategies to our marketing efforts. His expertise and dedication have helped us expand our reach and connect with more customers. In his free time, J’Mikel is an avid LSU fan and loves spending weekends at the family fishing camp. We are proud to have him as a member of our team at Dykes Electrical Contractors, LLC.

Rickey Labatut

Service Manager

Rickey has dedicated 25 years to excellence to Dykes Electrical Contractors. Starting as an apprentice, Rickey’s commitment and expertise have propelled him through the ranks to his current leadership role.
His extensive experience in service management and deep knowledge of the electrical industry have made him a key asset and mentor within the company.
Rickey’s remarkable journey and leadership continue to drive the success of our service department and support the companies mission.

Lance Dodson

Estimator/ Project Manager

Lance, a former United States Marine, brings a wealth of experience to his role at with Dykes Electrical, where he has been an integral part of the team since 2022. With a strong background in communications construction, Lance combines military discipline with technical expertise to excel in project management and estimation.
He holds a Project Management Certification from Louisiana State University, further enhancing his ability to lead complex projects with precision and efficiency. Lance’s commitment to excellence and strategic approach make him a valuable asset to the company.

Bobby Silvio

Materials Manager

Bobby has been a valued member of the company since 2018, bringing over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. As the Materials Manager, he oversees the procurement and management of materials, ensuring projects are well-supplied and run smoothly. Outside of work, Bobby enjoys camping with his family whenever he can, embracing the great outdoors as a way to unwind and recharge.

Colleen Gaines

Account Manager/ HR Admin

With over 25 years of experience in accounting, Colleen has built a distinguished career marked by dedication and expertise. For over 21 years at Dykes Electrical, she has excelled in both Accounts Payable and HR Administration roles, demonstrating exceptional leadership and commitment to excellence. Her extensive experience in accounting principles has driven the company’s financial success. Additionally, she has effectively supported HR functions for a productive workplace. With a certificate in accounting from Career Institute, Colleen is a highly qualified professional dedicated to continuous learning. Her career showcases her unwavering commitment and adaptability in a dynamic business environment. Beyond work, she enjoys spending time with family and watching NASCAR, highlighting her well-rounded and fulfilling life.
